Tobias, the change you applied in http://src.fresco.org/viewcvs/web/hosts/issues/html/issues.xsl.diff?r1=1.8&r2=1.9 is incorrect: the escaping is necessary since it prevents the <script ...></script> element from collapsing. '<script.../>' makes IE display an empty page. This is arguably not an IE bug, but due to a particular interpretation of the html dtd.
